Melanie Forbes is a forward from Mississauga who plays for Ottawa Rapid FC in the Northern Super League. A dynamic and versatile attacker, she joined the Rapid in 2025 and immediately became an important offensive contributor.
Forbes began her senior career in League1 Ontario with Aurora United FC and DeRo United FC before moving on to play with FC Pride in the United States. She later played professionally in Portugal with Damaiense and in Iceland with Keflavík, where she finished as the club’s top scorer in 2024 and was named Keflavík’s female player of the year. She also earned recognition in United Women’s Soccer with Detroit City FC, being named to the All-Midwest Conference Second Team in 2021. At Ottawa Rapid, Forbes scored her first goal on her birthday in a 3-1 win over Calgary Wild FC and continued to provide key goals and assists throughout the inaugural NSL season.
