Jyllissa Harris is an American defender from Hazlet, New Jersey, who plays for Ottawa Rapid FC in the Northern Super League on loan from the Houston Dash of the NWSL. A composed and durable presence on the back line, she joined Ottawa in 2025 and quickly became a cornerstone of the defence, earning Northern Super League Defender of the Year honours and a place on the league’s Team of the Season after a standout campaign.
Harris played collegiate soccer at the University of South Carolina from 2018 to 2022, where she built one of the most accomplished careers in program and NCAA history. She set the NCAA record for all-time minutes played (9,395), ranks first in South Carolina history for games started (105) and games played (107), and was a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American. She was selected by the Houston Dash in the 2023 NWSL Draft and, after gaining professional experience in the NWSL, continued her development and success with Ottawa Rapid FC, where her leadership and consistency have defined her professional rise.
