Jyllissa Harris scores her first career Northern Super League goal, D.B. Pridham tallies her third of the season to power Ottawa to its fourth win in six games

Halifax, N.S. (May 29, 2026) – D.B. Pridham struck late for Rapid FC to clinch a 2-1 win over Halifax Tides FC on Friday evening at Wanderers Ground. With the win, Rapid FC (4-0-2) create distance in the Northern Super League table, currently sitting in second place with 12 points.

Ottawa struck first off the foot of Jyllissa Harris. In the 38th minute, Harris capitalized on a rebound chance net-front to bury her first-ever NSL goal. In the 70th minute, Halifax evened things up with a strike from Julia Benati. D.B. Pridham gave Ottawa the win late in the second half, burying a rebound in the 88th minute. The 2025 Golden Boot winner now has three goals and three assists in six games this season.

“I think we had a strong first half, I’m happy with our performance,” said head coach Katrine Pedersen. “I think we controlled most of the first half. We had our highest energy, but most of all, I’m happy that we looked like ourselves. … That was what we agreed on before. We wanted to step on this pitch being ourselves and playing our game.”

Defender Jyllissa Harris on the team’s performance: “I’m honestly just really happy about the win, it was a really hard game. Delaney Baie (Pridham) getting the game-winner really late is special. It shows us that we can score at any time of the game and stay in games, even when it’s hard.”

Rapid FC return to the pitch in two weeks after the league’s international break, set to face Vancouver Rise FC at Swangard Stadium on June 14 at 5 p.m. ET.

D.B. PRIDHAM: Through six games, Pridham sits tied for third in the NSL with three goals, and tied for the league lead in assists with three.

JYLLISSA HARRIS: The 26-year-old defender scored her first career NSL goal on Friday in her 33rd appearance with Rapid FC.

NAOMI LOFTHOUSE: The 18-year-old Ottawa native made her first NSL start on Friday.

MOLLIE ERIKSSON: Eriksson earned her first start of the season on Friday, making three saves for the win. The 25-year-old goalkeeper made eight starts for Ottawa last year before suffering a season-ending injury.

SERIES: Rapid FC now have two wins and a loss against Tides FC this season. Ottawa holds a 5-1-2 record against Halifax all-time.

Jyllissa Harris inscrit son premier but en carrière dans la Super Ligue du Nord et D.B. Pridham enfile son troisième de la campagne pour procurer à Ottawa une quatrième victoire en six affrontements

Halifax, Nouvelle-Écosse (29 mai 2026) – D.B. Pridham a trouvé le fond du filet dans les dernières minutes de jeu pour permettre au CF Rapide de l’emporter 2-1 contre les Tides de Halifax FC, vendredi soir au Wanderers Grounds. Cette victoire permet à Ottawa (4-0-2) de se donner une plus grande marge de manœuvre au classement de la Super Ligue Nord, affichant maintenant un total de 12 points en deuxième place.

Le CF Rapide a ouvert le pointage grâce à Jyllissa Harris. À la 38 e  minute de jeu, Harris a tiré profit du retour d’un tir devant le filet pour ainsi marquer son premier but à vie dans la SLN. À la 70 e  minute, Halifax a créé l’égalité sur une frappe de Julia Benati. D.B. Pridham a ensuite donné la victoire à Ottawa en fin de deuxième mi-temps, reprenant le retour d’un tir à la 88 e  minute. La récipiendaire du Soulier d’or en 2025 affiche maintenant un dossier de trois buts et trois passes décisives en six matchs cette saison.

« Je trouve que nous avons été solides en première mi-temps, je suis contente de notre performance, a déclaré l’entraîneure-chef Katrine Pedersen. Nous avons contrôlé la majeure partie de la première mi-temps. Nous avons affiché notre meilleur niveau d’énergie et, avant tout, je suis contente que nous ayons joué comme nous pouvons le faire. … C’est la promesse que nous avions faite avant le match. Nous voulions nous présenter sur le terrain et montrer notre vrai visage, jouer à notre façon ».

La défenseure Jyllissa Harris sur la performance de l’équipe : « Honnêtement, je suis juste vraiment contente de la victoire, c’était un match très difficile. Delaney Baie (Pridham) qui marque le filet vainqueur à la toute fin, c’est spécial. Ça nous montre que nous pouvons marquer à n’importe quel moment du match et rester dans le coup, même quand c’est difficile ».

Le CF Rapide sera de retour sur le terrain dans deux semaines à la suite de la pause internationale de la ligue, alors que l’équipe affrontera le Rise de Vancouver FC au Swangard Stadium le 14 juin à 17 h HE.

D.B. PRIDHAM : Après six matchs, Pridham se trouve à égalité au troisième rang dans la SLN au chapitre des buts avec trois, ainsi qu’à égalité en première place pour les passes décisives avec trois.
