Sadie Waite is a Canadian midfielder from St. Thomas, Ontario, who signed a two year professional contract with Ottawa Rapid FC ahead of the 2026 Northern Super League season. She is the club’s first roster signing for 2026 and begins her professional career in her home country.
Waite was a four season standout at the University of Nebraska, making 73 appearances with 68 starts and logging over 5,700 career minutes. She recorded 8 goals and 10 assists, including a final season where she started every match and played more than 1,500 minutes. She scored her first career brace in the NCAA First Round, helping Nebraska reach a program best third Elite Eight appearance and secure a Big Ten regular season championship.
Known for her composure, vision, and fearless presence in midfield, Waite is also a former Canada U20 Women’s World Cup team member and is set to make her mark with Ottawa Rapid FC.
